About Alestor

Alestor sells one surge protector power strip, and has since 2020. Here is what it is, who it is for and why the catalog stays this short.

What Alestor sells

The Alestor strip has twelve AC outlets, three USB-A ports and one USB-C port, a 2,700-joule surge circuit in three stages and a 15 A overload switch at its head. Two of the twelve outlets sit 2 inches apart for wide adapters. You can buy it with a cord of 6, 10, 15 or 20 feet, in black, white or gray, and those nine versions are the whole catalog.

That choice came first and the rest followed. Most people who buy a power strip are not short of outlet designs. They are short of a cord that reaches. So instead of adding models, we kept one strip and sell it in the lengths a room actually needs. 6 years on, the strip on this site is still that idea.

Every version is listed with its price in the Alestor desk.

Who it is for

A desk with a computer, two monitors, speakers and a phone charger. A TV wall with a streaming box, a console and a soundbar. A bedroom where both nightstands need a lamp and a charger. A garage bench with battery chargers and a radio. In each case the wall has an outlet with two sockets, and the room needs a dozen, a few feet away from where the outlet is.

It is not for heaters, refrigerators, microwaves or anything else that belongs straight in the wall. A strip with twelve outlets invites twelve plugs, and the limit is the load, not the outlet count.

What is different about it

Three things. The four cord lengths at one design mean you choose by the route to the outlet, not by settling for a different strip. The wide-spaced top pair takes the adapter bricks that crowd most strips. And the surge circuit tells you its state: the Protected light stays lit while it is working, so you know when it is time to replace the strip.

The figures on our pages are the ones in the strip's own rating: the joule rating, the load rating, the USB output and the cord gauge. A clamping voltage and a response time are not part of that rating, so you will not find them estimated here.

What people ask about Alestor

What does Alestor make?

We sell one surge protector power strip: twelve AC outlets, four USB ports, a 2,700-joule circuit and a 15 A overload switch, with a cord of 6, 10, 15 or 20 feet in black, white or gray.

How long has Alestor been around?

Alestor started in 2020, so the brand has been selling power strips for 6 years. The catalog is built around this one strip, sold in nine versions instead of nine different models.

Who is the Alestor strip for?

For a desk with a computer and two monitors, a TV wall with a box and a console, a bedroom with chargers on both sides of the bed, a garage bench with battery chargers. Anywhere the wall outlet has two sockets and you need twelve, at a distance the cord can reach.

Is Alestor the same as other strips with twelve outlets?

Many strips have twelve outlets. What sets ours apart is the four cord lengths at one design, the two wide-spaced outlets for adapters, and the three-stage circuit with a Protected light. The product page has every figure.
