Twenty feet for the far side of the room

Twenty feet is for the bench, desk or table that stands across the room from the nearest outlet: a garage workbench with battery chargers and a radio, a craft table in the middle of a spare room, a gaming desk on the wall opposite the only outlet. Hang the strip from its keyhole slots at the back of the bench, and the outlets stay off the floor.
A long cord is not a substitute for an outlet in the wrong place. The safety agencies treat strips and cords as a temporary way to reach power, and if the 20 ft strip has become the permanent wiring of a room, an electrician can add an outlet where you need it. Until then, route the cord along the wall, never under a door or a rug, and plug it straight into the wall.
The 20 ft strip is part of the Alestor surge protector range, $34.99 in our last update, with the same twelve outlets and four USB ports as every other length.

About the Alestor 20 ft strip
Can you use a 20 ft Alestor strip in your garage?
On a workbench for battery chargers, a radio and a work light, yes. Hang it from the keyhole slots off the floor, keep it away from water, and plug it straight into a wall outlet. OSHA notes that UL does not intend power strips for construction sites, so a bench in the garage is fine and a job site is not.
Can you leave your 20 ft Alestor strip in place for good?
The strip can stay plugged in, but the safety agencies treat cords and strips as a temporary way to reach power. If the strip has become the wiring of the room, an electrician can add an outlet where you need it. The cord length guide has more on running a long cord.
